Low cost to implement
Installation is carried out from any IBM compatible PC with the aid of a software package that comes with the system. To speed up alignment a Laser Pointer is available as an option.

The ICS uses non-lasing infrared light to measure the distance to the object up to 69 times per second. The distance readings are absolute and with a resolution of one millimeter within a range of one kilometer.
